How to reach Hvar?

By Car

If you take the ferry to Starigrad, you will only need to take the 10 kilometers long road to Vrboska. After disembarking from the ferry, turn left in the direction of Vrboska. If you take the ferry to Sucuraj, continue on the rather challenging road toward Jelsa (55km). Do not enter the town of Jelsa, look on the table Vrboska (3 km from Jelsa).

Hvar is connected with mainland by boat lines

In the summer ferry connections with islands are intensified, and there are hydro-boats also. Summer schedule is valid from 31st of May to 28th of September.

Hvar is connected through the port in Stari Grad, and also by all-coast ferry connection Rijeka-Zadar-Split-Stari Grad - Korcula - Dubrovnik -Bari (three times a week), and by international fast boat connection Pescara - Stari Grad - Split (daily), and by international ferry connection Ancona - Stari Grad - Split - Korčula (twice a week). By Bus

The closest train station to Hvar is in Split (www.hznet.hr). This station is right next to the bus station and ferry port.
